About Me
Am a Ugandan born artist, i work in a number of areas of interest in art. My main areas of work include woodcut printing, drawing, painting, portraiture, and textile design which are my passions. I graduated with a Bachelor of Industrial and Fine Arts Degree from Makerere University - Kampala in East Africa, BIFA(Muk)Hons.

I grew up in Kampala -"The City" and therefore love the contrast between village life and city or urban life, as is evident in the artworks on my "works" pages and in the print on this page.

Help me out!!!!!

Being an artist..
Woodcut printing is exciting when your works turn out the way you planned, but disappointing when the message and end product are not close to what you actually wanted to portray. To be a good artist, I make sure I always have a pencil and some paper with me.Life's interesting moments don't alert you when they are happening, so I always to have be ready to capture the moments as they do happen.

I try to make quick sketches as most of the interesting subjects will not pose for me that long. When I get back to my studio, I then modify my sketches ready to paint or to prepare my wood blocks. I also try to include landscapes, buildings and some of the surroundings because they always add good titles, connections or divisions in the story my works.

Subjects of Interest....

My subjects of interest are mainly about life, how we go about it, the way it treats us and how and what we basically do to try and forge ahead. You will find that most of my works revolve around the day to day activities, making a living, survival, suffering, success and death, yes death because it's part of life!!!
